Recap of our First Event of the Year!

Thanks to everyone that came out to our last event to meet new people and enjoy free pizza! In our last event, members completed an engineering challenge, answered some trivia and discussed how they would approach world health issues for the chance to win prizes. Additionally we had the opportunity to speak with a Summer Institute alumnus about summer internship opportunities. If you weren’t able to make it out to this event, or if you’re looking participate in more events with EWH, worry not, there will be more opportunities to meet the team and learn about summer opportunities!

EWH Summer Institute Info Session

Are you interested in applying your technical skills to save lives overseas? Come find out how to participate in an incredible summer program where you can help fix medical devices in Nicuaragua, Rwanda, or Tanzania. Hear from last year’s summer institute students about how to repair broken medical and put them right back into the field to help those who need it most.

The event will be held in the Donnelly Centre Red Seminar Room, 6pm Tuesday, Novermber 24.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the EWH Summer Institute info session!
For those of you who are interested in applying to spend two months in Nicaragua, Tanzania or Rwanda (one month learning how to repair medical equipment and one month in a hospital repairing equipment), please read more about the program and application process. The deadline for both the program application and financial aid is January 26th 2015. Do let us know if you are applying and we will do our best to help you gather any additional financial support you may require. Feel free to email us if you have any questions.
